Big news guys! I’m the official co-host of this year’s Let Your Hair Down Expo here in NYC. Taking place on September 14th at Sir Stage37, the Hairfinity Presents Let Your Hair Down Expo will be the largest natural hair care expo in New York City. The Spring EXPO brought out 2000+ women and this EXPO is expected to be a big one as we welcome celebrities like Kim Coles, renowned stylists like Felicia Leatherwood, amazing exhibitors, panel discussions and more.

In addition to co-hosting along with natural hair blogger Jenell Stewart of Kinky Coily Curly Me I’m also moderating my very own workshop entitled “Love It: Fierce Natural Fashionistas” where I’ll be joined by some of my favorite fellow style bloggers to chat about fashion trends, dressing for your body type and embracing your hair as part of your overall sense of style. You don’t want to miss it!

LBS Feature: Hello Beautiful’s 5 Ways To Wear Floral Shorts

5waystowearfloralshortsI’m so honored and flattered that the editors at Hello Beautiful have found me to be stylish enough to feature in their 5 Ways To Wear feature! Because I’m obsessed with prints during the summer time, I opted for the floral shorts look. Floral shorts can be tricky but if you follow a few basic rules of thumb, they’re pretty easy to pull off. LBS Feature: Essence Magazine September Issue Fall Picks

lbs-essence-feature.jpgI raved earlier this month about Kelly Rowland being on the cover of Essence Magazine’s September Issue. I’m even more ecstatic to announce that I’m also featured on Page 42 of the same issue! A few months ago, the Essence fashion dep’t tapped me and two other stylish bloggers – Chris Law of Fresher Than Chris and Kela Walker of Kela’s Kloset –  to be part of their Fall blogger picks spread.

ESSSENCE-FOBSTYLE-SeptI’m honored to say the least. They asked me to choose some of my absolute Fall 2013 must-haves and among them were a peplum dress, printed skinny pants, a bright colored clutch, a name necklace and metallic booties. It was SO hard to choose between all the amazing items but overall I’m so happy with the spread.

Make sure you head to newsstands and pick up a copy of this month’s ESSENCE Magazine. Let me know if you like it!
