3 Ways to Rock It: Leather

3 Ways to Rock It Leather CollageLeather has emerged as one of the most coveted autumn trends. It’s a material that can be stitched into everything from skirts to the elbow patches of trench coats, and leather is heavy enough to survive those windy fall mornings. I’ve invested in a few leather pieces, including a flirty dress and a chic peplum skirt from Forever 21, but I’ve headed to the pages of some of our favorite bloggers to create fresh, funky and original ways to incorporate leather into my wardrobe.

Three of those blogs –  Gabi FreshHappily Grey and Song of Style – are working this trend, and giving me inspiration in the process. Here are three ways to wear leather this season, courtesy of Gabi Gregg, Mary Seng and Aimee Song, respectively.

3 Ways Leather - Gabi Fresh

Gabi slayed New York Fashion Week in this ensemble. She balances the edginess of her ASOS Curve leather skirt with a chic White sleeveless blazer, cropped top and classic White pumps. This is a simple outfit to mirror for fall. Grab leather jogging pants or a leather skirt and contrast it with a nude-colored, simple blouse. Keeping the top and pumps or sneakers simple allows leather to take center stage. See Gabi’s full post HERE.

3 Ways Leather - Happily Grey

How adorable is Mary Seng in this tailored leather jacket, bold plaid dress and funky booties? She’s serving Manhattan realness! You too can get this look. Purchase a leather jacket and pair it with a patterned dress and booties. The look is effortless, and can easily transition from class to a late dinner with friends. See Mary’s full post here.

3 Ways Leather - Song of Style

Mixed patterns, fierce jewelry and confidence landed Aimee Song on this list. She livens up her outfit by donning a quilted leather mini-skirt, a plaid button-down blouse and simple open-toed stilettos that wind around her ankles. Accessories complement her bold move. She’s adorned in gold jewels, and adds additional print with her leopard-print clutch. Song pulls this off well, and you can achieve this look as well. Grab a printed leather skirt, a blouse in a different (but complementary) print and power stilettos. See Aimee’s full post HERE.
