Overalls are the newest “it” item, appearing in Phillip Lim, MM6 by Maison Martin Margiela and Isabel Marant’s spring collections. The resurgence of 1990’s style, from flannel shirts to plaid, provided space for the re-emergence of overalls, and we’re all taking full advantage. There’s no telling how long overalls will be considered fashionable, so we’ve turned to three amazing bloggers – Natalie Suarez of Natalie Off Duty, Margie Ashcroft of Margie Plus and Melissa Bennett of La Vie à Mon Avis – to give us three ways to style overalls.
Natalie Suarez’s signature aesthetic incorporates flowing garments, printed separates and very stylish accessories, like the chic brown chain-bag she’s adorning in these photos. She brings overalls into winter, pairing a flower-printed shorts set with black tights. She layers the blue, white and flowered overalls over a long-sleeved tunic with printed sleeves. Her brown booties, blue coat and impressive arm candy completes the look. See Natalie’s entire post here.

Margie better work! She channels the 1990’s by folding her black overalls at the waist and rolling them at the ankles. Her eye-catching gold shirt and orange pumps offer a beautiful contrast to the black overalls. Margie’s purposeful lack of accessories allows her top to be the focal point. Read Margie’s post here.
Recreate Margie’s look:
There’s nothing like a classic denim overall to recreate childhood nostalgia. Melissa sells overalls as every day wear by pairing them with a basic shirt, booties and a studded tote bag. Peep Melissa’s post here.
