5 Items We Need: Alexander Wang H&M Collection

At LBS we’re obviously obsessed with all things H&M. Christina’s NYFW Style Essentials series was practically and advertisement for H&M’s fall collection. When it comes to trendy and affordable pieces, they are a leader in the fast fashion industry. H&M has set themselves apart with their annual designer collaborations. We’ve swooned over their past collections with designers like Versace, Marni, and Maison Martin Margiela. These collections have a higher price point than typical H&M pieces but obviously considerably lower than retail prices for these luxury designers. That being said, we’re bubbling over with excitement for H&M’s latest collaboration with Alexander Wang, which is set to release in select stores and online tomorrow!

Alexander Wang is known for his detailed tailoring, dark colors, and menswear meets femme influence. These styles are definitely reflected in the H&M Collaboration. A few lucky girls have even got their hands on the Alexander Wang H&M collection early like singers Rihanna and Justine Skye (who Christina interviewed on TalkingTexture.com today, by the way. 5 Items We NEED from the Alexander Wang x H&M Collection

1. Fitted Dress $99

We love all the detail in this dress. The halter neckline and cutout waist give this athletic-inspired dress a feminine touch. This could be dressed down with sneakers or worn with stilettos for a night out.

2. Wool Blend Biker Jacket $199

This jacket style is timeless, and Wang’s wool version of it will keep you warm in the cold months to come. Detailed with zippers, pockets, and shoulder tabs to give an authentic biker look.

3. Short Scuba Top $59.95

A graphic sweatshirt is the perfect way to stay in style on a casual day. This one is made with scuba material, a double knit fabric often used in high end wear that gives garments a smooth surface. If the cropped style isn’t your thing, they offer this same top in Men’s with a full hem.

4. T-Shirt Dress $59.95

Keeping in line with Wang’s athletic influences, this T shirt dress is made with a breathable, fast drying fabric and mesh inserts. This makes it great for a stylish workout tunic or athletic accent for a casual look.

5. Suede Boots $299

We’re always on the lookout for an eye-catching bootie, and this one is definitely on our list of must-haves. This mixed-media boot has scuba and rubber details, zippers, and laceup accents. With all these details Wang managed to keep it simple and chic with his signature all black color scheme.
