LBS Beauty: Caribbean Travel Essentials

beauty-travel-essentials

Last week I filled you guys in on all the great things I packed in my suitcase for our Caribbean Crawl. I met up with the girls in Barbados and had a blast. I had so many beauty essentials that I couldn’t squeeze them all into the first Travel Essentials post. I bring with me all the basics like Dove soap and Degree deodorant to Specific Beauty wipes and my favorite MAC Cosmetics lippies.

So here they are all laid out. All the things I typically bring with me on a 3-day travel excursion like this one:

list-of-travel-beauty-essentials

1. Specific Beauty Exfoliating Cleansing Cloths ($9.99): With the hustle & bustle of vacation, you don’t want to have to worry about deep cleaning your face during the day. Perfect pick-me up in between beach and parties.

2. Degree MotionSense Deodorant ($4.99): With all the action you’ll be into on a trip whether it’s beachside activities or business meetings, you gotta keep the pits fresh. I love the smell of this one and love that this Degree formulation is specially made to keep you fresh while you move around.

3. Febreze Sleep Serenity Bedding Refresher ($4.74): Wherever I lay my head, I have to make sure the environment is right. A few spritzes of this bedding refresher on any sheets I’m using, immediately puts me at ease so I can have a good night’s sleep.

4. Cover FX Cream Concealer ($27.00): When I’m on vacation I don’t like to pile on tons of heavy makeup. I keep it very light and natural with just a few dabs of this concealer, some primer and a fruity-colored lip.

5. Sephora Collection Cream Lip Stain in Always Red ($13.00): This is one of my absolute favorite reds. And I love that it goes on smooth & creamy and dries to a matte finish. It stays on my lips all day when I don’t have time to touch up in between activities.

6. L.A. Fresh Eco-Beauty Wipes ($2.49 for 3): I love these easy & travel-ready makeup remover and nail polish remover wipes from L.A. Fresh. They are so easy to slip into your purse and make “removal” a cinch, wherever you are.

7. MoroccanOil Hair Treatment ($16.50): Whenever I go away, especially to the Caribbean, the sea water does a number on my hair. After an intense day, I’ll warm a few drops of this in my hands and apply to my hair letting it sit for a few minutes and then rinsing. Perfect mid-vacation pick me up.

8. Cover FX SPF 30 Protection Primer: If you’re planning to be out in the sun all day, you MUST protect your skin. It doesn’t matter how deep or light your skin tone is. This primer does double duty – helps me keep my makeup regimen simple and also protects like a sunscreen.

9. Emergen-C ($3.99 for 10) & Dramamine ($4.14): You never know when sickness can strike on vacation. If you’re planning a few sea excursions, don’t leave home without Dramamine for motion sickness. And if you’re like me and coming home to a little one, you want to prevent the nasties from getting to you by increasing your vitamin intake with Emergen-C.

10. Simply Venus by Gilette Disposable Razors ($6.79 for 4 pack): This is pretty self explanatory. I like to use disposable razors so I don’t have to worry about packing them to take back home with me after my trip.

11. Pond’s Luminous Moisture Day Lotion SPF 15 ($6.69): This is a light daily moisturizer in a small enough package to throw into my carry-on without any issues. Pond’s is a great affordable skincare brand.

12. MAC Cosmetics Lipstick ($16.00): These are by far my favorite lipsticks. I normally pack a great red (like MAC Ruby Woo) and a fun pink (like Girl About Town).

13. Toni & Guy Shine Gloss Serum ($14.99): So my hair doesn’t become dull after washing the saltwater or chlorine water out, I make sure to pack a light serum or oil like this one from Toni & Guy.

14. Restorsea Reviving Cleanser ($20.00): Pricey but for the right reasons. This luxe facial cleanser will have your face revitalized and fresh every day, regardless of what your evening looked like. (Hangover anyone?)

15. Maybelline Color Show Nail Lacquer ($3.99): This is one of my new faves from Maybelline’s line of products. They have great punchy colors. I love to bring bright colors with me on a Caribbean trip. So fun!

16. Crest Toothpaste ($4.19): Also self-explanatory. Crest is my toothpaste brand of choice.

17. Dove Soap ($5.39 for 4pk): There are so many different soaps out there but Dove is by far my favorite. It’s super gentle, it smells great and it keeps my skin soft. Win!
