I told myself in 2015 I would do more videos for you guys, and I’m holding to that promise! I’m planning a complete relaunch of my YouTube channel so I’m really excited to kick the year off with a fun behind-the-scenes video like this one from my lookbook shoot. Check it out:
The perfect daytime look is meant to be fun, flirty and subtle! For this look I wanted to create a loose curl. So I used a curling iron as a wand and slightly curled the hair. I used a Paul Mitchell Super Clean to hold the loose curl. To finish this look I put the hair to one side to add the fun and flirty portion of the look.
Going from day to night was really easy. The goal was to achieve sexy big hair. So I enhanced the curls created during the daytime look. I moved the hair from only one side to both. Then I played in the hair to add volume. The messier the sexier!
Going from day-to-night in no time is all about starting with a good base! I started Christina off with soft flesh tones in my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. I pumped up her eyes a bit with mascara and then gave her a fun, bright lip using a MAC “Magenta” lip pencil. Using solely mascara for the day look gives room to make a noticeable impact for a glammed up evening look. When switching it up, I went back to my trusted Naked 2 palette.
I used a dark shimmery brown eyeshadow to deepen the look for the night. I gave her double-stacked Monda Studio lashes for volume. Lashes can truly make any look sexy and flirty! It’s all about eye contact on a hot date! To finish off the evening look, I relied again on a MAC lip pencil called “Currant”. I topped it off with a burgundy gloss, blush and she was ready to go!
