The man behind the popular blog Men’s Style Pro is as sharp as his brand. Sabir Peele may have been born and bred in Philly but he’s now a citizen of a world using a host of influences to inspire his diverse sense of style. Working with magazines like Glamour and GQ he’s spread his unique approach to fashion all over. We got his take on confidence, clothing and strong women. Learn about the man committed to living well and being sharp below.

What is your definition of a classic man?

That’s a loaded question. Stylistically it’s someone that pays attention to tailoring outside of just following fashion trends. A classic man can be wearing a suit, he could be wearing a pair of jeans, he could even be wearing sportswear and he’ll carry himself with his chest out and exude confidence and style. He understands what fit is supposed to be. They’re also sure of themselves and comfortable in their own skin. They’re educated about the world and not just where they live provincially. They’re strong ,they do things for the community if they can and they’re about being positive.

What is your idea of a classic woman?

Someone who, like a classic man, is very sure of themselves and doesn’t feel like they have to stoop down to anyone’s level or speak down to anyone. A strong woman who is career motivated and outwardly spoken. They always characterize that woman as “too masculine” or “too bitchy” to be honest, but I see those strong qualities to be of a classic woman. They’re really sure of themselves and they support other women.

Who is your style icon?

That’s always been hard for me to pin down. I don’t really have one person that’s my style icon. Culturally I like a lot of English style, I like Italian cuts in my clothing but I also like American sportswear. I’m a big Ralph Lauren fan. I’m also a big Michael Bastian fan.

What sparked your interest in style?

As a kid I was always interested in style, specifically menswear. I never really considered it a career path until much later. Each decade over the past thirty years my style interests have evolved depending on where I was.
