The lovely Jennifer Hudson covers this upcoming January issue of Essence Magazine. She’s got leading roles in hit movies (including recent holiday release Black Nativity), she’s happy in her relationship with longtime beau David Otunga, mother to a beautiful boy and just living life to its fullest.
“I spent my twenties figuring out what I wanted to do, and trying everything,” she says. “But by 30, my foundation was set. I became confident and clear about the path I wanted to take…Now I’ve really settled into myself. And I’m stronger than I’ve ever been.”
People like J.Hud give me so much hope because despite all the tragedy and hardship she’s gone through in life, she has managed to become such a powerhouse. She didn’t let those tragic events define her, which is why I love seeing her celebrated. Kudos to J.Hud on embracing what life has to offer. I think she was a great choice for Essence’s New Year’s issue.
