This weekend, the lovely folks at Dark & Lovely Au Naturale invited me out to attend their very first Au Naturale Everyday People Style Suite. The Everyday People brunch series, hosted by Chef Roble, has been going strong for quite a while now and this was my first time actually attending.
They transformed the second floor at The DL in the lower east side of NYC into a complete style suite with Dark & Lovely products, models styled using the products, a fun photobooth and more.
I saw many of my favorite people including good friends just attending for brunch, and fellow hair & beauty bloggers and editors. It was a really great time.
There were so many beautiful women – all colors, shapes and sizes. All with amazing hair. It was awesome.
For the brunch, I opted to wear a fun printed playsuit and tribal printed wedges from Boohoo.com. Great food, tasty brunch cocktails and amazing hair – what more could you ask for on a Sunday afternoon?
After snapping some shots in the style suite and checking out the beautifully styled Dark & Lovely Au Naturale models, I went upstairs to grab food and to take in all the beautiful people and the great music.
Back at the style suite later in the afternoon, I was totally surprised that I was picked at random to win a full collection of Dark & Lovely Au Naturale products! I never win anything! They gave me the Anti-Breakage collection which I’m really excited to try. In particular, I can’t wait to try out the Root To Tip Mender which is supposed to be especially helpful for preventing breakage at the ends.
I’ll be sure to let you guys know when I’m planning to review them. They have a really great collection of affordable hair products with hair-nourishing ingredients – some of which I haven’t seen in other product lines so I’m curious to try them.
Also their hair models looked amazing after being styled with the products so that makes me want to give them a whirl even more. I had a great time at brunch – huge thanks to Dark & Lovely for inviting me.
