LBS Backstage Beauty: Edwing D’Angelo Fall 2014

Edwing D'Angelo Fall 2014We can’t get enough of the dramatic makeup and hair for Fashion Week. Since we have the backstage scoop to some of your favorite designers, we’re bringing Edwing D’Angelo’s Fall 2014 collection personally to you.

Director of Education for SoftSheen Carson Mezei Jefferson derived the hair inspiration from renaissance style and anarchy concepts. The hair was parted down the middle, slicked to the side with a long ponytail braid and finished at the ends by wrapping a gold cord to add a rebellious touch. The look was achieved by using the Shine and Style Polish and the Edge Tamer from their latest “Amla Legend” line.

A tip to the ladies:
natural or relaxed hair, steam treatments are the way to go, it brings moisture to the hair. If you have a twist out or braid out that’s gone flat throughout the week, you can go under the steam to fluff it back up. Any of the products in the Amla Legend line is great for natural hair, it stimulates the scalp to help the hair grow.
Cosmetic and Skincare sponsor Vera Moore collaborated with the team to create a look which played off of the mid 20th Century British Aristocracy theme. Edgy smokey eyes complimenting luscious red lips went hand in hand with the simplicity of the colors, shapes, floral statement pieces that graced the runway.
