It’s that time of the year again! NY Fashion Week is upon us for the showing of Spring 2014 trends. Yaay! *Twirls around in circles* *Gets dizzy because of baby bump*
In past years, my blogger friends and I normally take to the streets of NYC as a collective for Fashion’s Night Out. Remember our FNO Crawl last year? We ran into everyone from Solange to Teyana Taylor. Well we’ve started quite the trend doing these “crawls”. As you saw with our super fun NOLACrawl in July for the Essence Music Festival, we have so much fun with them!
This September we’re teaming up once again to bring you all the NYFW action live & in full effect on social media and on our blogs. We’ll be instagramming, tweeting, and blogging live from the action here in NYC about everything from our favorite beauty products that we use to prep for the week to what we’re wearing and what events we’re heading to.

This is such a full circle moment for me! Back in 2009 when my site first started, I remember doing a Sick Spotlight feature for this brand new website I was obsessed with called Rent The Runway. The brand has grown SO much since then and this season I’ll be sporting a few of their designer pieces – the bump-friendly ones at least! If you’re not familiar, Rent The Runway is this super dope website that allows regular budget-friendly girls like myself to “rent” designer looks for special occasions without splurging on a full designer look. Such a genius idea!

You know when you find a hair product that you really love and you can’t stop using it? You want to tell the world but then you almost want to keep it a secret too, as if they’ll somehow run out of your favorite product and your friends will exhaust the supply? No? Just me? Anyhoo, that’s how I felt when I first tried EDEN BodyWorks. They are an all-natural hair brand with stylers that actually work! I can’t wait to go into detail about all the cool products from their line that I’m in love with. Definitely high on my list of natural hair faves.
