Happy Monday folks! I haven’t done one of these Instaweek posts in a very long time but it’s my first NY Fashion Week back on the scene and there’s been a ton of excitement today. Here’s a snapshot of my busy (but exciting) week last week and the first few days of NYFW:
Backstage with MAC
This season I’ve been covering a ton of shows backstage with MAC Cosmetics. Seeing as they’re one of my favorite makeup brands, I’m incredibly honored to cover shows that they’re sponsoring. RewardStyle NYFW Party (#rsNYFW)
This year for the second time I had the opportunity to party it up with the Reward Style crew during their Fashion Week blogger bash. It’s such a great place to spot some of your favorite bloggers who you may know but haven’t ever been able to meet.
It’s also an awesome place to discover new brands. While there I ran into swimwear line Zinke, super dope jewelry brand Kendra Scott (see rings above, modeled by my blogger buds & I), Piperlime, BlueFly and Lou & Grey. Huge shoutout to RewardStyle for giving us all a much-needed break in the middle of Fashion Week.
Talking Texture Brunch
I couldn’t go the week without breaking bread with some of my favorite people. Myself and Ty of Gorgeous in Grey co-hosted our first brunch together in honor of NY Fashion Week and to celebrate our posts as co-editors of TalkingTexture.com.
We had a great time hanging out with fellow bloggers and editors and talking about hair, fashion week and everything under the sun. If you haven’t been to the site yet, what are you waiting for. Go see it now!
Nylon’s Hi Speed Retreat
Many thanks to the lovely people at Nylon Mag. They hosted an amazing retreat & lounge in the Penthouse of the Gansevoort Hotel downtown and I had a chance to try out Juice Press drinks, Hampton Sun SPF products (perfect for this scorching sunny weather) with hair touch-ups by Oribe and makeup touch-ups by Too Faced Cosmetics. This was a much-appreciated 30 minute break between shows.
The #NYFWCrawl Continues
My blogger boos Jessica of Glamazons Blog and Lexi of LexiWithTheCurls are running around town getting into all things fab during Fashion Week. On Saturday, we went everywhere together from the TalkingTexture brunch (see above) to the Reward Style Party to the glam Hard Candy suite at the Empire Hotel for a quick makeup, hair and nail touch-up.
