LBS Backstage Beauty: Kaelen Spring 2015

Backstage at the Kaelen Spring 2015 show, the beauty look was a modern mix of 60’s mod meets alien. MAC Cosmetics lead artist Chantel Miller explains:

The makeup has a 60’s reference. We did a really bleached out eyelid almost in the form of a reversed smoky eye.

So it goes from a white lid to a dark taupe that goes up almost into the eye. It’s 60’s meets alien. There’s also a contour on the cheek following the same run as the eye.

No mascara and a little bit of a brow.

For nails, lead manicurist for KISS products Gina Edwards did a polished yet feminine nude nail look. Nudes are all the rage this Fall season and so it seems the same concept continues into Spring 2015.

How To Get The Nail Look:

1. Prep nails with the prep pad to remove all oils and lightly buff around the cuticles.
2. Peel off and press on imPRESS nails.
3. File nails, tapering to a point at the tip to create the desired pointed almond shape.
4. Paint two coats of Broadway Nails polish onto each nail.
5. Apply KISS quick dry top coat and allow to dry.
