September is officially here! I actually can’t believe how quickly this summer flew by. I trust and hope you all enjoyed your Labor Day weekends. While some of you were soaking up sun beachside or chowing down at backyard BBQs, I spent the weekend tuned into the sounds of some of my favorite artists at the 2013 Budweiser Made in America Festival.

made-in-america-festival-crowdYou guys may recall from last year that I attended the festival both days – Saturday (see here) and Sunday (see here) of the 2012 festival and snapped some amazing Street Style pics. This year, I was a little late to the party but was still able to catch Beyonce’s groundbreaking performance on Saturday evening and all the cool happenings of Sunday’s full schedule.

Check out what I got into this year…

The Performances

Even though I didn’t arrive in Philly until Saturday evening, the Budweiser Made in America Festival crew kept us all viewers nationwide in the loop with a really dope Livestream of the performances on YouTube.

emile_sande_2I got to see some new artists I’m really interested in like Emile Sande, old favorites like Public Enemy and crowd pleasers like A$AP Rocky and 2 Chainz.

2013 Budweiser Made In America Fesitval - Day 1I literally danced and laughed straight through 2 Chainz set. He is so ratchet and equally as entertaining on stage – it was an amazing performance.

2013 Budweiser Made In America Fesitval - Day 1I don’t mean to play favorites but, sorry, Beyonce took the CAKE. Seeing Queen Bey perform is like a moment in time that you want to savor for eons. She is so incredibly captivating on stage. From her crowd engagement to her dope costume changes and impeccable dance moves. She snatched wigs. She took names. She literally stole the show.

2013 Budweiser Made In America Fesitval - Day 1Most people bought tickets specifically to see Beyonce at the festival, and her headlining performance was worth every single penny. My baby bump and I were in the perimeter doing the “uh-oh” dance. It was incredible. If you haven’t seen Beyonce perform live, you MUST do it at least once in your lifetime. This weekend was my third time seeing her perform live this summer, fourth time ever in life, and she slayed. It was the best performance thus far. Oh, can we talk about her new cropped blonde bob? Amazingness. No words to explain how great it was.

2013 Budweiser Made In America Fesitval - Day 2On Sunday, I tuned into the sounds of Solange, Kendrick Lamar, Miguel and Wiz Khalifa before heading out for the night. All the performances were great, chock full of talent and every performer seemed to be truly enjoying themselves. I also randomly spotted Jay-Z in his white tee, jeans and cigar walking by. Of course he was followed by a mob of fans. It was pretty awesome.

Street Style

made-in-america-street-styleAs you can imagine the street style at Budweiser’s Made in America Festival was great. Folks stepped out in their festival’s best – you know the uniform: cutoff jeans, graphic tees, Chuck Taylor’s, bandeau tops, patterned dresses and the like. To see the amazing specimens I snapped, check out my Made in America Street Style post.

Made-In-America-Fest-Street-Style-5Shoutout to all the amazing blog followers I met while out there. It’s so awesome to know that you guys are reading and actually care about what I post on here regularly. I felt so loved! I ran into fellow bloggers The Coveted K and Pretty Haute. It was so great meeting and chatting with them.

How did you guys spend your Labor Day weekend? Were any of you at Made in America?
