This past weekend at Essence Festival, I had quite the packed itinerary but I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to soak up all the fun activities that Ford presented as a 2015 sponsor of Essence Festival. Each year, they have something new and special happening at the Convention Center and at the Superdome. Ride & Drive Event
Anytime I had the opportunity to stop into the Convention Center this weekend while I was in New Orleans, I popped myself into the Ford Booth for a quick test drive.
Not only did they give away the keys to a brand new Ford vehicle on Sunday, but everyone who signed up for the ride & drive event was given a $750 cash offer on the purchase of a new Ford vehicle.
Ford VIP Lounge at the Superdome
While at the Superdome for performances this year, I had the pleasure of heading to the Ford VIP lounge to chat with and interview various celebrities and guests of Essence Fest. What’s cool about heading back there is that there’s way less pressure than on the red carpet because everyone is just back there to sip cocktails and enjoy the show. It’s the perfect way to get organic convos going with some of your faves.
Ford Superlounge Performances
At the Superdome, Ford sponsored it’s very own performance lounge featuring artists on the up and up and many faces we’re already familiar with. My girl Elle Varner (remember I hosted this vision party with her in January?) was a featured performer as well as songstress Lianne La Havas and more.
