UK-founded hair brand Toni & Guy has just made its official debut on North American shores with it’s recent launch in the USA. The brand team for Toni & Guy invited myself and a group of other beauty & style bloggers to celebrate its launch at downtown hotspot Soho House.
There, we met lead stylist Mark Hampton, who is both hilarious and talented, who showed us the four different style profiles for the Toni & Guy brand. He was accompanied by fashion blogger Brooklyn Blonde who helped curate the style looks for the models. The four style profiles and corresponding product collections for Toni & Guy are Creative, Casual, Classic and Glamour.
Upon entering the venue we were each given our own personal style cards. I was pegged as a “Creative”, which is so me based on my sense of style. I’d actually consider myself a healthy mix of Creative & Glamour.
Mark Hampton created these really beautiful hairstyles featuring each collection – a really fun milkmaid braid look for the Classic. A funky braided topknot for the Casual. A side-braided mohawk for the Creative, and finally a wavy old Hollywood bob for the Glamour girl.
Dinner was delish. There were three courses and it was served family style. Babybrownsugar enjoyed it too, judging from the nonstop movement in my belly post-dinner.
I’m really excited to try out some of these Toni & Guy styling products. For my hair, I’m specifically going to give the Stick It Up Gum (for my edges and for ponytails) and the Shine Gloss Serum (for glossy hair) a try from the Creative collection.
