LBS Beauty Review: Twist Out Using Shea Moisture Curling Souffle

shea-moisture-curling-souffle-twistoutOne of the biggest struggles we naturals face is achieving a lengthy ‘do with curl definition. We’ve discovered a great product from Shea Moisture’s Coconut & Hibiscus collection that will help you achieve the results above. Read on to find out how we used the product:

What you’ll need:

Step 1. Part your freshly washed hair into 4 sections.

Step 2. Starting on one section, create double strand twists measuring 0.5 x 0.5 inches. The smaller the twists, the more stretch and length you’ll get.

Step 3. After detangling, apply the Curling Soufflé from root to end to seal in the twist.

Step 4. After drying, unbraid and separate each double strand twists into 3-4 splits.

What do we love about the Curling Soufflé?! Not only does it serve as a gel for the perfect hold, it also moisturizes, prevents frizz and adds shine to your hair. For the first 2-3 days your hair may feel slightly heavy depending on how much of the product you’ve added, but after that time has lapsed your curls will be soft and supple. Use less product to avoid buildup.

The best part about this method is you can wear the twists in a variety of styles before you decide to take them out for that long, fluffy and curly look.
