MAC Cosmetics Taps Bloggers for Collection

Word on the street is, a few of my fave bloggers have been tapped by MAC Cosmetics to launch their own capsule beauty collection. Apparently MAC dwindled 80 blogger submissions (of color concepts for both a lipglass and an eyeshadow) down to10 finalists and these ladies were flown to Toronto to tour the MAC facilities and create their own products. How exciting!

Some of the featured bloggers include my faves like Patrice Yursik of Afrobella.com (who I met a few weeks ago at this Carol’s Daughter event), Lianne Farbes of TheMakeupGirl.net (who hosts this Cocktail & Couture event), and the uber cute Wendy Lam of Nitrolicious (who I met at this Julian Louie for Aldo event).

Congrats to all 10 lucky bloggers. The collection will be available in North America June 21, 2011 at MACCosmetics.com only. Below is the complete list of winners.

  1. I love all things green so Christine’s “Jealousy Wakes” caught my eye and captured my heart. The name is very clever a nice play off of green with envy but the shade is also great for the jewel tones that will dominate looks this fall.
