From pompadours, updos, romantic curls and crystal headbands the holidays are the perfect time to experiment or try something new. This week on LBS we are showing you 4 holiday hairstyle ideas for natural hair. You can start the styling process on your natural texture or if you’d like a more sleek look you can stretch your hair first by using flexi rods, caruso steam rollers or blow drying your hair.

1. Curls All Over: There’s something about a head full of voluminous bouncy curls that is so effortless and glamorous. To achieve a look similar to this blow dry your hair until it’s about 75% dry using low heat and then applying flexirods or perm rods in a downward spiral motion. For the best results we recommend using a small amount of mousse or styling gel to hold the curl. Let the rods set for several hours before taking them down.

2. Twisted Low Side Bun: This simple style looks great on every texture. Two achieve this look start by making a deep side part. Begin flat twisting one side and secure it with a bobby pin toward one side of your head. Take the other side and create another flat twist. This is a great style you can do with your natural hair as well as with extensions.

3. Pompadour/Up Do: There are so many different variations to this style. The great thing about this style is that there is no right or wrong way to do it. If you are feeling bold and creative grab a few pins and start freestyling. We recommend doing this type of style on hair that has been blown out. This is will create a lot of texture and lots of volume, similar to Teyona’s style below.
