Fall Style Remix With No nonsense Denim Leggings

Let’s face it, fall and winter bring with it longer hemlines, chunkier fabrics and inevitably – subdued wardrobes. Most of us live in neutrals during the Fall/Winter season. They’re easy to throw on and who can think about neons and brights when it’s cold and dreary out? When I look across my typical fall/winter staple collection, it’s heavily comprised of cremes, blacks, grays and browns. Bleh. So this season I’ve decided to remix my closet by incorporating bold pops of color for fall. Whether it’s a jacket or a jewel-toned necklace, one pop of color can go a really long way.

One way I had planned on doing this was by incorporating the colored denim trend. During the fall and winter seasons, I practically LIVE in my leggings. I stock up on a few tried & true pairs that will last me through the seasons, from lightweight to heavy but they’re, again, typically neutral colored like black or gray. These combine my love for leggings with the colored denim trend I had planned to use for my fall wardrobe remix.

I paired my No nonsense Denim Leggings with a white tunic (it gives extra coverage in the back for when you’re wearing leggings), a beige cape (wore this one in my One Dress Two Ways: The Minidress post) and a pair of army green peeptoe booties (which are also considered a neutral). Pairing your brights with neutrals gives the entire look balance and puts the focus on the colored piece.
