If you guys follow my handle @LoveBrownSugar on social media, I’m sure you’ve probably seen all the buzz about my upcoming #ShopLoveBrownSugar Holiday Pop-Up Shop event this Saturday, December 13th. In case you didn’t know, I’d like to cordially and formally invite all of you lovelies who are based in NYC or the Tri-State area to come out for the blog’s 5 Year Anniversary celebration at The Dumbo Loft (155 Water St, Brooklyn, NY).
This event is SO incredibly special to me. Not just because I’ve enjoyed celebrating my anniversary each year with you in 2011, in 2012 and in 2013 but because this year I’m not only celebrating my anniversary but I’m also providing a platform for some of my favorite indie designers to sell and display their amazing creations. I will be posting a full rundown on all these amazing products tomorrow.
This is the first pop-up shop I’ve ever curated and I’m so incredibly excited to be sharing it with you. Here are five more reasons you NEED to be there:

Beautiful Textures is an amazing brand that has supported me so much this year. As the co-editor for their hair website TalkingTexture.com, I’ve spent the entire year writing about hair and inspiting women everywhere to embrace hair versatility. So it only makes sense that I would ask them to be apart of my anniversary event for 2014.

In addition to the Shop LoveBrownSugar pop-up shop which ends at 4PM, I will be hosting a private cocktail “Toast to LBS” afterparty and panel discussion from 5PM – 7PM.
It will feature a special toast for all guests, hors d’oeuvres, desserts and a special Q&A with my favorite editors – Ty Alexander, Style & Beauty Editor of HelloBeautiful.com and Founder of GorgeousinGrey.com as well as Deena Campbell, Beauty Editor of Essence.com.
5. Me!
You guys know how much I LOVE talking to you via this here blog, BabyBrownSugar and also on social media, but nothing beats seeing you all in PERSON. I’ve randomly run into quite a few of you on the streets of NYC, at events and even at summer festivals while I’m snapping your pictures. There’s nothing better than getting to meet you guys face to face. Not only is this event special to me because of my anniversary, but it’s the one time of the year that I can dedicate to hanging out with you all for an extended period of time.
