This September, I was totally expecting Fashion Week to be the usual – transitional weather, often rainy, sometimes cloudy but usually comfortable. Instead we got extreme humidity and heat! So instead of rocking the layers I had planned, I opted for this short-sleeved oversized statement sweater from H&M.
What makes the statement sweater cool is that it can easily become the focal piece of any outfit. Everything else in my look, for example, is neutral colored so the sweater can take center stage.
It has texture, it comes in a bright color and draws your attention immediately.

These shorts are a great pair for a statement sweater. They are neutral toned and caramel leather matches really well with mustard.
The bag is also from H&M ($29.95) and the shoes are the Glendael style from Steve Madden.
I kept my accessories pretty simple – a chainlink necklace from ASOS, a cuff from Stella & Dot, and this watch c/o Fossil.
