On The Market: Fashion To Figure Summer 2014

ftf-summer-collectionI was introduced to Fashion To Figure two years ago when I was invited to attend the BET Awards in LA for the first time. I was scrambling around trying to find a dress and was offered the opportunity to try out a few pieces by new (at the time) plus size brand Fashion To Figure. I wanted something chic and glamorous but still comfortable. After all, it was my first trip to LA and my first time covering the red carpet at an Awards show for LoveBrownSugar.com.

lbs-in-la-night1-6I ended up falling in LOVE with two dresses from the brand. One was a white peplum body-conscious dress that I was comfortable in only because of the beautiful peplum ruffles on the side that flattered my curves. I wore it to dinner the first night there.

All that to say Fashion To Figure has been one of my favorite plus size brands for a while now. Since then, they’ve opened up a host of stores across the country including one not too far from some family I have in Maryland. So anytime I go there I stop by the store and pick up a few pieces. It’s amazing, really.

For the Spring/Summer 2014 season, Fashion To Figure invited NYC bloggers to mix & mingle and check out their new collection down at Soho House. I was BLOWN AWAY by the selection of pieces they have this season. Like, seriously, I wanted to pull out my credit card. Check it out:

First, I think they had an amazing selection of pieces for women of all different body types as well as aesthetics. There’s a little something in the collection for everyone – whether you need a work-ready shift dress, a fun weekend romper or a sexy bodycon piece to hit the club in.

They had some really great key pieces in bright colors and really flattering silhouettes like this scoop-neck a-line piece.

BB9A5442Fashion to Figure also has some incredibly jewelry. You know we curvy girls like to accessorize. I might rock the same little black dress all season but the accessories allow you to switch it up! Statement pieces are key.

And here are a few snaps of pieces from the lookbook that I’m excited about:
