While priced significantly lower than its four-figure counterpart the spring collection remains “reminiscent of her signature style” featuring lavish textiles and a playful color palette.
A favorite of Michelle Obama’s and Jessica Alba’s the Texan native seems excited to be allowing the everyday woman a chance to experience the glamour of her clothing. While some designers veer from of their usual aesthetics with retail collaborations for fear catering to full-figured women will bring logistical issues the Lela Rose Brand found it easy to stay true to their sense of style. Of branching out into plus-size attire Rose said “all women want to look beautiful, the design philosophy does not change at all”.

Texture is a big theme in this collection and a staple of the Rose brand “that’s what we do best” said Rose at the celebration for the line held at Lane Bryant’s Herald Square location on Tuesday evening. The laced topped neon sheath above has a really fun vibe to it. It’s sold out online but is available in stores and as we say goodbye to tights and hello to skin this is a great spring selection to step out in.
This watercolor printed dress is without a doubt the stand out piece of this collection. Not only is the color palette perfect for spring the pleated detail is on trend and the fit is universally flattering and a wonderful option for a formal occasion. The collection is designed with versatility in mind. “I think we’re successful in pieces that take you all through the day” said Rose “I’m very much the customer for our clothes. I’m working all day. I have to be able to go from day to dinner.” The color and geometric print of this top ($98.00) keep it modern while the relaxed fit allows it to translate from season to season.
