Red Carpet Countdown: 2014 Grammy’s Best Dressed

Last night’s 2014 Grammy Awards red carpet was quite interesting. There were some major looks from unexpected guests, a bit of suspense (as heavy hitters like Beyonce didn’t walk the carpet) but most of all overwhelmingly beautiful head to toe outfits. I was impressed this season, this year’s Red Carpet rundown features all my favorite looks. Check them out:

6. Tamar Braxton

Tamar Braxton’s was one of the first dresses on the red carpet that really caught my eye. Normally they say wearing red on the red carpet is a faux pas, but I think this Michael Costello gown looks absolutely stunning on her. First of all, her post-baby snatched body is giving me life. Hey, Logan’s mama *waves* Second, I love that she kept it simple with a nice bob to show off her shoulders and the construction of the dress. She could’ve done a nice statement necklace, yes, but altogether I liked this look on her. Very sophisticated.

5. Chrisette Michele

I have to applaud my girl Chrisette Michele for being so BOLD on the red carpet last night by choosing to go against the norm and adorning a printed pant suit look. I LOVE the touch of color, the lacy bra top underneath (with just enough skin but not too much showing), the red lip, the nails. Everything about this look screams fierce! Kudos to her for staying true to her style and dressing her curves so incredibly well.

4. Ciara

Ciara picked the perfect time to debut her brand new baby bump. Though you can’t see it clearly from the pic above (see pic below), Ciara graciously adorned her newest accessory (baby bump) in Emilio Pucci for last night’s awards.

This was a custom gown created for her and it’s super stunning and flattering on her shape. The only thing I would’ve loved to see is perhaps sleeker hair, like a topknot or a tight chignon. But overall I loved this look on her!

3. Chrissy Teigen

Unexpectedly, one of my faves last night was model and muse Chrissy Teigen. Recently married to pop/soul sensation John Legend, I follow Chrissy for her hilarious antics on Twitter but was not expecting her to give SO much life on the red carpet last night! She looked like a sexy gold disco ball next to her hubby who wore a sleek navy suit to match. This look fit her body so well I had to mention her on my list of faves.

2. Taylor Swift

I’ll admit it. I have a love/hate relationship with Taylor Swift’s red carpet looks. Sometimes I love them and sometimes I utterly despise them. Last night was definitely a “love” moment for me and Taylor. She looked absolutely gorgeous in a GUCCI chain link gown. I loved the color and LOVED the makeup to match. She did a sleek ponytail which I think made total sense for this look. Well done Taylor.

1. Beyonce

Beyonce slayed the Grammy’s last night in this white laser-cut Michael Costello gown. Even though she didn’t walk the red carpet, she still stunned in an elegant costume change post-opening performance. She looked like a vision in white. I love that she contrasted the light color with her new wet & wavy bob, a deep cabernet lip and nails and a smokey eye. Everything about this look is just perfect to me.

    1. Lol yes the hair was…different. I applaud her for trying something new though. I didn’t like the “wet” look during her performance but I did like when they dried it out and fluffed it a bit. Thanks for stopping by Tiffany!

    1. Yes! I believe 3 different celebrities wore his looks on the red carpet that night. Awesome!
