So I’ve been privy to the CLEAR Ultra Shea collection of products for some time now. Actually, it was after I received some samples during their launch event and my mom asked to try them that I first realized how effective they are. She was raving about them so I knew I had to give them a try.
I really like the CLEAR Ultra Shea collection because most of the products in my arsenal focus on maintaining the hair shaft itself but this one is specifically targeted to scalp health. I suffer from dry scalp so it’s really important for me to oil my scalp regularly in addition to maintaining my hair shaft.
The collection is a great affordable alternative for those of you natural or relaxed who typically opt for more expensive haircare & maintenance products.
The shampoo and conditioner are both great for maintenance and are both formulated with Shea (my favorite ingredient, like ever). I usually shy away from weekly shampoos but with the CLEAR Ultra Shea shampoo, you can wing it because it’s really moisturizing and won’t leave your hair feeling so stripped.
Follow up the shampoo with the CLEAR Ultra Shea conditioner. It’s really thick and creamy and I enjoyed the scent – always a plus!
The Scalp Nourishment Balm is thick in consistency but once it hits the warmth of your hands, it turns into an oil. I would recommend using it sparingly to avoid build-up. A little goes a long way. It can really help to keep your scalp from drying out – super important for the fall/winter seasons.
Because I wear a mix of my natural hair and extensions, I try to make sure my natural hair is deep treated weekly since it’s exposed and I apply heat to it. The Deep Nourishment Treatment Mask is great for that.
It has a nice thick consistency (great for dry hair like mine) and I like that it only takes 3 minutes to take effect on the hair. I’m a busy girl so any products that are quick and easy are a plus.
