Former reality star and entrepreneur Angela Simmons is back at it again with a new extension of her brand. The fashionista has just released a teaser for her long-awaited clothing line Angela by Angela Simmons. Back in 2011, we blogged about her clothing line which was in the works.
Now, on her newly launched personal website Angela I Am, she’s releases a teaser video for the collection, which seems to be a chic line of edgy meets sporty separates.
Check out the video:
Kudos to Angela for getting her collection off the ground!

This summer is already gearing up to be a hot one and on June 21st, the fun and fabness of summer will be officially here. Time to whip out the Bikini! And no, no need to get your tanning oil ready. Leader in virgin hair extensions, Indique Hair, is releasing their first celebrity collaboration ever, with young entrepreneur, reality star and fashion designer Angela Simmons. Together they’ve collaborated on a new line of summer-inspired extensions named BIKINI.
“Bikini exudes a beautiful, beachy texture, look and feel, providing instant volume without having to use a hot tool.” For you ladies who are into a chic weave or two, the hair will cost you $210-$305 per 4oz tube. Good news is, the price tag comes with more than just hair. A portion of the proceeds from each tube will be donated to CancerCare
, a national organization that provides free professional help to people with all types of cancers. Hair in the wind, curly or straight, and a good deed all in the mix. Finally, a “Bikini” all women can wear with confidence.

Angela Simmons steals the spotlight in this month’s issue of LadyGunn Magazine. Though I’ve never picked up an issue, I might be heading to the store to grab one. These photos of Angela are gorgeous.
Love the playful texture of the editorial…
And the hair is flowing and radiant per usual. Loves it!
BONUS: Just found this super cute video of Angela, her stylist Kanayo and her makeup artist Angel making over an NYC subway rider for BET’s Rip The Runway 2012. Check it out below!

On Wednesday night here in NYC, chic downtown venue STK was packed with celebrities, fans and of course, the larger-than-life Braxtons. You guys know from our last interview with the sisters that their our favorite group of reality sisters. Toni, Traci, Tamar, Towanda and Trina along with Mama Evelyn, hosted a party in celebration of their 3rd season of Braxton Family Values that aired last night at 9pm on WEtv.
Check out our exclusive video below:
, currently our favorite female DJ, didn’t let us down one bit. She played all the right tunes as guests sipped on signature cocktails while waiting for The Braxtons and other celebrity guests to arrive.
Everyone from Queen B (Lil Kim
) to Angela Simmons
and even Basketball Wives star Jennifer Williams
were in attendance to support the sisters. Once the Braxtons arrived, we wasted no time hoping to get a taste of their spunky, over the top personalities.
Tamar who just the day before revealed that she is pregnant, dished on what we all were wondering. What does her pregnancy means for her music?
“Let me clear something up. Just because I have a love on top, does not mean my album is not coming out. It’s still coming out this year,” explained Tamar Braxton.
Another bit of juice came from Traci Braxton, who WEtv has confirmed is no longer “the wannabe” but instead the “wildcard.”
She chatted with us about what we will see from her this season and let’s just say, she’s riding two wheelers. She said “You’re gonna see me with my motorcycling club!” Given what we’ve seen from Traci in the past, she’ll have us laughing something serious for sure.
We love the Braxtons because they’re so relatable and like any sisters, Towanda says “There are some days we don’t like each other, but we do love each other.”After last night’s premiere, it’s obvious we’re in for another crazy season.

Happy New York Fashion Week folks! It’s been a busy week. So much so that I almost forgot today was Monday! Here’s what I’ve been getting into since NYFW started.
- I attented the Lucky FABB conference last Wednesday which was an amazing start to my NYFW. I got to hear from influencers like Rachel Zoe and Lauren Conrad. I also ran into some of my favorite fashion & beauty bloggers. It was a blast!
- Fashion’s Night Out 2012 was a night to remember. Best part? Hearing Solange Knowles DJ live and sipping cocktails at my favorite designer DVF‘s store. Two of my faves under one roof? Priceless.
- My necklace is here! A few weeks ago, I ordered this @LoveBrownSugar necklace from Shame on Jane and it arrived right on time for Fashion Week! I’ve been getting so many compliments. LOVE it!
- Yesterday I co-hosted a NYFW Social Women brunch with Angela Simmons and Yoli of Yoli’s Green Living. Pics from the brunch coming soon! It was a blast.
Make sure you’re following me on Twitter @LoveBrownSugar
and Instagram (username: LoveBrownSugar) for all the up to the minute nonsense I’m involved in this week. @ me so I know it’s real!
Until next week!
This season, Tadashi Shoji channeled Old Hollywood glam with a contemporary twist. As one of my favorite designers for women with curves, he once again proved that beauty has no size restrictions with his Spring 2013 collection. Tadashi churned out a host of red carpet contenders, playing with delicate lace, mesh and chiffon in a sophisticated yet youthful way. I absolutely adored the collection. Take a peek at some of the looks from Spring 2013:
Many of the pieces were marked by intricate embroidery and vibrant colors.
Even his little black dresses had special touches. How could the dress above look bad on anyone? Gorgeous!
I love that models walked the runway in flats. The dresses were that amazing. No heels necessary.
Lots of maxi dress moments at Tadashi Shoji this season. These looks gave me so much life.
I could so see this dress gracing the red carpet at the Oscars or the Golden Globes. Perfection!
At the show we ran into stylist to the stars June Ambrose
sitting front row with her adorable mini-me.
And we bumped into the lovely Angela Simmons
rocking a super cute studded bolero jacket, black bandage skirt and caged ankle strap heels – tres chic!
