For this week’s Style Play Polish, we’ve designed 3 super easy looks for you to try on the most fun day of the year, and guess what? You can achieve these looks in less than 5 steps!
Look 1: Scarecrow Patches
What you’ll need:
- 3 different polish colors
- Black detailing nail polish
Step 1: After prepping your nails, use the 3 different polishes to create the base colors for the patch like effect. Do not worry about perfection, the black polish will cover up any faults.
Step 2: Using the black detailing nail polish, draw a line where the colors meet.
Step 3: Create tiny lines perpendicular to the first set of lines. These tiny lines complete the patch like pattern on your nails.
You can apply a shiny or matte top coat to complete the look.
Look 2: Black Cat Mani
What you’ll need:
- Black nail polish
- Black detailing nail polish
- Green nail polish
- Dotting tool
Step 1: Create an inverted half-moon shape at the tip of your nails using the black nail polish.
Step 2: Using the black detailing nail polish paint the outline of the cat’s ears and fill them in.
Step 3: Use the dotting tool to create 2 pairs of green eyes on your kitty’s face.
Step 4: To add the final details, polish on vertical lines down the kitty’s green eyes.

Look 3: Comic Candy Corn Nails
What you’ll need:
- White nail polish
- Orange nail polish
- Yellow nail polish
- Black detailing nail polish
- Makeup sponge
- Matte top coat
Step 1: Paint all your nails white.
Step 2: Use the makeup sponge to create an ombre look covering 3/4 of the white base coat.
Step 3: For the black detailing, use the black detailing polish to outline your nails and to create an exclamation mark on the side of your nails.
For a more realistic appearance, apply a matte top coat to complete the look.
