We all know Spring is right around the corner, and we love that we’re able to pull nail art inspiration from Katy Perry’s Dark Horse music video to portray the season’s bright and fun colors.
We love the colorful beads on her Cobra shaped head piece, so we came up with a simple hassle free design you can do yourself in less than 5 steps.
What you’ll need:
- Essie’s Good as Gold
- Essie’s Peach Daiquiri
- JINSoon’s Blue Poppy
- Sally Hansen’s Pacific Blue
- Dotting Tool
Step 1. After prepping your nails, paint your nails 2 coats of the gold polish.
Step 2. Using the dotting tool, starting from the inner corner of the nail, create oval like shapes using Pacific Blue.
Step 3. Follow the same step above using JINSoon’s Blue Poppy.
Step 4. Create curving dots around the previous blue color using Essie’s Peach Daiquiri.
Apply your favorite top coat, and you’re ready to head out the door!

Simple, easy, and fun. I am going to admit I haven’t watched Katy’s video but, I remembered her Grammy performance and I was thinking how does that nail design go with that song. haha. Now, I know!
