LBS Chic: Valentines Day Style Lookbook

valentines-day-lookbookThis year for the first time instead of focusing my entire week on New York Fashion Week, I decided to take some time out to pull together some of my favorite style looks for Valentine’s Day. V-day is such a pollarizing day for so many of us. If you have a “bae”, it’s your time to have fun and celebrate. If you don’t you can either be excited about your singleness and party it up with your besties, or be downright sad/depressed/upset.

I can’t even stand the thought of any of you being upset on a day like V-day. It falls on a Saturday this year and the best way to celebrate is by looking and FEELING your absolute best, whether you’re boo’d up or not. So here are three cool looks you can sport on this special day whether you’re taking yourself to brunch, heading out for an “I Hate V-Day” girls’ night out, or having dinner with bae.

Look 1: Brunch Date

brunch-date

Since V-day takes place on a Saturday this year, it’s the perfect opportunity to head to brunch with friends, family, or your boo (if you’re not into the V-day dinner rush).

Opt for something fun and floral like this ASOS Dress.

I love the way this dress flatters my curves with it’s A-line shape and deep-V front. It helps me accentuate the parts of my body I really love including my legs.

Finding the right shape for your body type is of utmost importance if you want to look and feel your best on V-day.

Look 2: Girls’ Night Out

If you’re on your “I Hate V-Day” tip, ditch the red, florals and roses and opt for a sexy girls’ night out with friends. This perfect for grabbing cocktails with the girls or heading to your favorite lounge downtown.

Opt for a vibrant color and something nice to contrast with it via the accessories.

Look 3: Date Night with Bae

If you’re headed out for dinner & cocktails with your main squeeze, you obviously want to look like a sexy siren, right? Go traditional in a little red dress and blinging accessories like studded heels.

I love this figure-flattering peplum dress from ASOS (on sale for only $23.84!) – it’s the perfect compliment to a myriad of curvy figures and it’s especially great if you like to hide your midsection like me.

The cutouts on either side add a little dimension and a nice unexpected hint of sexy.

Throw in fun accessories like the Clear Lucite Clutch from CC Skye ($350.00) and you’ve got a complete dinner look.
