Vdaylook7

The countdown to Valentine’s Day is officially on. Whether you’ll be celebrating with the love of your life or your girlfriends (who are our true soul mates anyway) you’ll want to ensure that you look your best. The possible beauty looks are endless! You can go for flirty, romantic, sexy or even sultry. When it’s all said and one what matters most is that you feel confident and look beautiful! Today, I’m sharing with you a super easy and sexy Valentine’s Day look. Two things that most of us know how to do, a red lip and a easier-than-it-looks goddess braids. Let’s get to it below!

The first thing I did when starting this look was start with a fresh, moisturized face. I washed my face with Neutrogena face wash and followed up with an exfoliating scrub. Once my face was a clean canvas I got started on perfecting my skin.

Face:

Always remember that the key to a flawless beauty look is using primer first. I used my Estee Lauder Matte Perfecting Primer, which has been my favorite as of late. Once your primer is properly distributed all over your face the next step is to smooth on your foundation. For the past year, I’ve been using Make Up Forever HD Foundation in shade Y505, Cognac. It is amazing! It’s perfect for warmer skin tones and always leaves a flawless finish.

After the foundation application, I highlight with Estee Lauder Double Wear Concealer in deep. This concealer blends like a dream! I love that it gives a natural highlight that you can rock from day to night. For a more dramatic appeal, I added a tiny bit of MAC Pro Longwear Concealer in shade NC45 on top of my highlighted areas to really make the high points of my face pop.

Once that’s all done, I set my highlight with my Laura Mercier translucent powder and warmed up my skin with Make Up Forever Bronzer as well as MAC Mineralize Powder in dark.

Since it’s Valentine’s Day you can’t skip on the blush, so I went for Love Thing Mineralize blush by MAC.

Lastly, I finished my face with Gold Deposit Highlighter by MAC as well as Chosungah 22 24H Raybeam Highlighter and Chosungah 22 Real Cheek Smoother Blush.

Eyes

To really make my eyes come to life I use the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette. The colors are super blendable and easy to apply. Lastly, I finished with my Zoeva Cateye Liner and Benefit Roller Lash Mascara.

Lips

For my red lips, I used Lipstick Queen Cupids Bow in Metamorphoses (This color is actually coral, but I blended it with MAC Chestnut lip liner to make it look deeper and red).

Goddess Braid

After my make up, I simply parted my hair in two sections and loosely cornrowed each side. I secured the ends with a rubber band and used a bobby pin to tuck the ends away. Once that was complete, I used my fingers to loosen each goddess braid. Next, I smoothed my edges with an edge tamer to finish the look. So easy, right? You’ve got this!
