LBS Beauty: Prepping My Skin for NYFW With Neutrogena Naturals

neutrogena-naturals-collection-review

Tomorrow is the official first day of NYFW and in preparation for the crazy schedule, the long nights, the lack of sleep and potential dehydration (sounds like I’m going to war, right?) I decided to give my face a little TLC with the new Neutrogena Naturals collection.

I get a ton of skincare products sent to me by brands regularly but this line in particular caught my eye because there aren’t many drugstore brands that currently offer a line of products with all natural ingredients. Neutrogena sent over a beautiful basket of their latest offerings and this Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial Cleanser was the first thing I started to try. It was love at first touch. Gel cleansers are perfect for my skin in the summer as I tend to get oily in my T-zone.

The Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Facial cleanser has a really light and refreshing scent. It also has minimal lather but is a really gentle cleanser perfect for maintaining clear skin. The entire collection is actually formulated without any harsh chemicals, sulfates, parabens, petrolatum, dyes and phlates. Translation: all the good stuff, none of the bad stuff.

I actually have combination skin (oily in the T-zone, dry on the cheeks) so I tend to switch from gels to creams once the weather starts to change. Just in time for the cooler season, Neutrogena has just released the Purifying Cream Cleanser formulation to the Naturals collection. This formula has a cream consistency which is super moisturizing and perfect for dryer skin types – but still natural!

They have a really great lineup of products in the collection with ingredients that are 94% plant-derived. The packaging is also made from plastic and paper and the products support Clean Water and Renewable Energy. I mean this product line is made of win. Seriously.

  1. I love the products I’ve tried from the Neutrogena Naturals line! I’d like to try the Purifying Cream Cleanser because – like you – my skin needs more when the weather starts to change! It’s still hot in DC (lol) but something tells me that this winter will be brutal 🙂

  2. I would like to try the Neutrogena Naturals because I have sensitive skin. I think the natural ingredients will treat my skin better than man made ingredients.

  3. Yay! I’m such a fan and not only is Sept.19 my birthday and this would be an awesome gift. But I recently tried the e-matrix and silk peel procedure and would love a new skin care regimen to keep that healthy skin and glow. Good luck to all!

  4. I would love to try the product because I currently have no facial wash products. My face is both dry and oily so I wouldn’t know where to begin. Having been avid blog reader of yours, I trust your judgement and believe this would be a great product for me to try.

  5. Hey! I was looking for reviews of this line and came across your site! I have the same skin dynamics as you (oily T-zone, dry cheeks) but my skin is also sensitive. I recently had a bad reaction to a grapefruit cleanser and would love to see what this line could do for my skin. Your review of Neutrogena’s Naturals line sounds very promising and your skin looks flawless.

  6. Hey!

I would like to try this product because it’s natural and I’m looking for a gentle cleanser to clear my skin of blemishes/scars.

  7. I’d love to try it because I’ve been looking to switch to a face wash with natural ingredients!

  8. I’d love to try this product because my skin gets really dry in the winter. I’d love to try a product that won’t exacerbate this and will actually work to soothe! I love cream based cleansers for this reason.

  9. Recently. my products have been getting all over my face from my hair. Causing me to break out. I rarely break out so when I do it’s a problem. I wash my face but I can not wash it daily. I forget and the product I use dries out my cheeks. I have like a dry spot on my face from it. Washing more often will make me look like a raisin. I think it’s time to switch. This product sounds great! All natural! I hope it can solve my problem.

  10. I’ve been wanting to try a new skincare regimen and facial cleanser. This sounds like the perfect product to try! Your skin sounds similar to mine (being oily in the t-zone and not much elsewhere).

  11. I would like the try it because I’m not a makeup person at all. I started wearing it because my face started to become two-toned and it made me feel insecure. So I started wearing makeup to help boost my self esteem. If this will help me even my skin and make me feel confident again then I’m willing to try it. latashajoiner@yahoo.com

  12. I would like to try it cause I need something gentle and natural to clean my face and Neutrogena is a trusted brand that I use, just in a stronger formula. I like African Black soap too but something funny happens with my skin.
