3 Ways to Rock: Ripped Jeans

3 Ways Ripped Jeans - CollageThe 1980’s was a brilliant fashion decade. Big hair, bold jewels, mixed prints and jean-on-jean ensembles were all en-vogue, and so were ripped jeans. Ripped jeans are one of my favorite recycled trends. A pair of perfectly-tattered jeans offers effortless rockstar glam, especially in autumn. It’s warm enough to bear a little leg and thigh without catching fall germs, but it’s also cold enough to keep the rest of the body warm with boots, sweaters and layering.

Slaying ripped jeans is a difficult task for women of all sizes and shapes, but don’t be intimidated by the challenge lovelies! It is doable, and we’ve tapped three of our favorite fashion bloggers to prove it.

Here are three ways to rock ripped jeans and still maintain your chic, courtesy of Nadia Aboulhosn, Blair Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific and Taliah Ferguson of Fashion was Here.

An acid wash kicks Aboulhosn’s ripped jeans into high gear, but she balances out the edge with a simple ribbed sweater and pointed-toe pumps. Her accessories, including rings bearing her name, take a backseat to the boldness of her jeans. See Nadia’s full post here.

Funky prints and bright colors are the things that fall are made of! Blair Eadie serves uptown realness is a chunky, lime-green sweater, knee-length leopard overcoat and Black flats with intricate straps across her feet and her ankle. I especially love Eadie’s diverse palette. Lime is not considered a traditional fall hue, but she nails it by incorporating browns and tans in her coat and tote bag. Beautiful. How cute is Taliah Ferguson’s take on the ripped jeans trend? The navy undertones in her bag and shoes offer an amazing contrast to her black shredded jeans and silky blouse. She also adds an innovative edge by wrapping a plaid green-and-blue blazer around her while her minimal accessories and orange lip pulls the look together. Check out Taliah’s full post here.
