If you follow me on Twitter, you probably saw me tweeting last night live from the red carpet of the Jackie Robinson Foundation Awards Dinner. Although I didn’t get a chance to interview Ms. Chrisette Michelle, she was in attendance and she provided the music for the evening’s festivities. I personally hadn’t seen Chrisette Michele’s new look but it appears that she’s gone platinum blond!

Foolish! Especially not with that dress she’s wearing. However the shoes are fabulous.
She looks fabulous! One of the reasons I love her is because she’s always herself and doesn’t try to look like everyone else. That always gets big points with me.

It’s too much for me… The uber bright color and the texture together make it look like she’s wearing popcorn on her head. I love her, I do. But someone should really help her out in the style dept. Also, the placement of the stones on that dress are NOT flattering 🙁 C’mon Chrisette! You’re SO much more stylish than this look!

I was one of the scholars attending the event. I believe the dress looked better live, and Chrisette herself looked amazing and beautiful. I just wished I could have met her along with everyone else that night!

I’m usually a fan of Chrisette Michele’s looks, but the platinum blond is a bit much for me! And, unfortunately her dress doesnt fit her properly; it is a bit too tight (see the wrinkles and pleating).
Love the whole look! And those shoes are awesome!
Saw her in concert recently and the blonde looks amazing on her! It does have the tendency to wash her out, but I think she carries it well.
The dress is foolish but the shoes and makeup are fierce!
Hmmm…. I like the makeup… I can deal with the hair… i love the shoes… but that dress is FOOLISH! Who the hell put her in that prom dress from hell?

definitely foolish! I loved her with her dark hair…this is a mess
LMAO to the comment that her hair looked like a “head of popcorn!” I don’t absolutely LOVE it, but don’t hate it either. I think she’s still trying to find her “style” and experimenting which is fine… As far as the dress, from these pictures, it doesn’t look like it fits. So I don’t like it for that reason alone. I guess I would need to see a frontal to see how it looked, but I don’t think it was a good choice for a performance dress either way.
