Home Improvement: Fireplace Complete

So last week in this post I brought you guys into my new home for the first time to introduce my “Home Improvement” series, documenting my home decor journey. I started with the fireplace area and just had a few things laid out. I’m now officially finished with this section of my room! Take a look: [CONTINUE]

I decided to turn my fireplace into an extension of my closet since I don’t have as much storage space in this new room. So instead of using the mantle for pictures, I decorated it with my favorite accessories, fragrances, and nail lacquers.

I designated a section of the mantle for my favorite nail colors this season. In the fall, I’ll switch these neons out for deep jewel tones and neutrals.

I found these really gorgeous tree-like jewelry holders at Marshall’s. I’m using them to display all my favorite baubles.

I used the side posts of the fireplace to hang some of my leather pouches. I got the one above from my favorite open-air market in NYC.

Another decorative piece I picked up from Marshall’s. It’s 1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 about the definition of love.

On the let are my favorite fragrances and body creams.

I have two of these jewelry holders. Even these aren’t enough for all my accessories. I still have an entire box of jewelry I haven’t unpacked. I swear I’m not a hoarder. Or maybe I am…a little.

I put some of my favorite statement bags at the top. So when I’m in a rush and need a nice topper for my outfit, I just have to look up for inspiration.

Next project – the bathroom!

  1. Aww thanks for your concern Miss Fab! Lol it’s actually not a working fireplace. It used to be, but now it’s just a decorative addition to the wall. Thanks for the heads up though 🙂
