Kickin’ It: Dark & Lovely + Essence Event With Bria Murphy

 Last night LoveBrownSugar contributor Nike of MyModestMouth covered a fab event with Dark & Lovely. I blogged about their Fashionista Model Search with Essence Magazine on Monday. Hopefully some of you lovelies saw it and attended the live casting call in NYC! In case you didn’t here’s a brief recap:

New spokesmodel for Dark & Lovely (and daughter of funny man Eddie Murphy), Bria Murphy was on the scene donning a gorgeous burgundy cocktail piece with jeweled detailing at the top.

Model contestants and hopefuls lined up for a chance to win an all-expense-paid trip, a celebrity makeover and an ad in ESSENCE Magazine. These girls came dressed to impress.

Absolutely love this contestant’s natural hair. Her cut really makes her beautiful facial features stand out.

At the event, there were live hair consultations, and of course – Dark & Lovely products to boot.
