This past Wednesday night, I decided to take a little “me” time away from mommy duties and I headed down to Tribeca Cinemas for a screening of the new Warner Brothers film “Hot Pursuit”. It’s an action comedy starring the hilarious and amazingly beautiful Sofia Vergara and everyone’s fave girl-next-door Reese Witherspoon. I was told I could invite a few of my friends and so I told them to come on down, sip cocktails, hang out with me and enjoy a good laugh at the screening.–
It was so much fun and the movie was HILARIOUS. Check out what we did and what I thought of the film:
No film screening is complete without candy, right? I mean this candy bar was insane. Now, I refuse to go to a party that does not include an epic candy bar. It’s a must-have.
We were treated to luxe cocktails at the event during the 2-hour cocktail party leading up to the screening. Of course I took the opportunity to grab a drink and let loose a bit after a long day of work.
Then I proceeded to grab a #selfie with the Hot Pursuit sign because, well, “selfie or it didn’t happen”.
So many of my good friends came out for the screening. We proceeded to take pics on the red carpet like the true celebrities we are.
I went with a little black dress and a red lip for the night. It’s kind of my signature look these days. It’s just easy, simple and suits every occasion.
And I almost forgot to mention the passed appetizers. That’s another thing that kept me going before the screening. No better way to see a hilarious film than on a full belly, a few cocktails in. My friends and I really had a blast.
About the film “Hot Pursuit”: SEE IT! It’s so funny. Sofia Vergara and Reese Witherspoon have such great and hilarious chemistry in the film and it has such a great twist in the end. In “Hot Pursuit,” an uptight and by-the-book cop (Reese Witherspoon) tries to protect a sexy and outgoing widow (Sofia Vergara) of a drug boss as they race through Texas, pursued by crooked cops and murderous gunmen. I laughed hysterically throughout. SO funny.
