Tips For Wearing Purple Lipstick

  1. Keep the rest of your makeup simple. That means no heavy blush or eye shadows. Let the lipstick stand out on it’s own. If you are wearing blush it should compliment the lipstick. Very subtle shades of wine, plum and brown work best for brown skin.
  2. Moisturize before you apply your lipstick. Use a lip balm of some sort and allow it to sit for at least 2 minutes. Especially when it comes to matte lipsticks, they can be very dry when applied only.
  3. Confidence is key. No matter what shade your lipstick is having confidence is key to pulling off the color!

  1. I did a review of the revlon matte lip color some time ago on my blog. I LOVE the finish on that one. Fashion Fair is the one make up brand for brown girls that doesn’t get enough love. The totally revamped their line from when I remember it being but they still can’t seem to push their product as much.

    *Great post :).
