We’re not done yet! Keep reading, we’ve got backstage access to Mara Hoffman too!
Fatima Siad and Ataui Deng, do I still have your attention?! It was a golden madness behind the scene! In case you haven’t seen the runway pictures, gold was definitely the “IT” in Mara Hoffman’s Fall 2014 collection. This collection was inspired by
the art, landscapes, textiles and jewelry of Northern Africa. Rugs of Morocco, camels in the Egyptian desert and Bedouin jewelry…
Global Creative Director Nick Irwin of Catwalk by TIGI seems to be in high demand this season also making an appearance in Ruffian backstage. His overall hair look was “A brave, back to the desert braid” with a gold sprayed end tip while allowing the hair above to have movement.

Alice Lane for Maybelline New York created a gypsy inspired look on the models using massive mascara, a warm nude golden lip color and a highly pigmented bronze color onto the lids using Maybelline’s Sunlit Eye Shadow in Bronze and Baby Lips on top to add a smoothed lusty sheer finish.
A word to you ladies, she says
Look at your face, make sure it’s not running, makeup is a product it’s gonna move, enjoy redoing your makeup, nothing should stay forever.
For the ethnic ladies, need a hefty eyeliner tip? Alice knows what she’s talking about!
…great for African American women, use a deep coffee brown eye pencil, when it runs, it looks beautiful and will fall in the right places, a deep coffee pencil will read as black but not as intense when it runs.

And of course, the day is never complete if we don’t get the 411 on nails! Honey for Maybelline New York derived the nail art inspiration from the collection’s overall aesthetic theme, nomads, desert and gypsy. The polish used was Bold Gold, a gold metallic color that dries matte from Maybelline’s Holographic Collection.
Nail tip of the day, Honey says
Oil! Leave the hand creams alone. Oil maintains your polish and conditions the nail bed… DO NOT CUT YOUR CUTICLES which causes cuts down your nail bed. Use Tea-tree Oil and Peroxide to cleanse nails and hands.
Stunning model Atauid Deng knows how to work these nail pics!
