The Edwing D’angelo Spring 2015 collection was one of our favorites when it came to backstage beauty during this NYFW. Inspired by the beautiful hairstyles of the Moroccan tribes of Africa, SoftSheen-Carson Senior Manager of Education Mezei Jefferson used the Optimum Alma Legend haircare line to re-create a modern version of these styles backstage at the Edwing D’Angelo Spring 2015 show.
Mezei says,
“Edwing’s spring collection was inspired by these different tribes. So, we wanted to create that same feeling with the hair. We created a smooth sleek texture at the top with a lot of loose braids at the bottom. We even added a few braids in with a pop of color to keep it current and trendy.”

The exotic choice of hair and makeup, henna tattoos and tribal props (including a belly dancer!) really made the show feel special.
