Curvy girls, you guys know like I know that the struggle is real when it comes to getting trendy, affordable and cute items in our size. I’m so grateful, though, that so many brands are starting to pick up on the fact that girls with curves like fashion too and they are offering way more options for us. What I’ve always longed for, is the ability to find the same styles I see on the straight style racks as the plus racks, but it has definitely been a struggle.
Thankfully companies like Rue21 are seeing the value in the curvy and plus consumer. A year ago today, they launched their Rue21 Plus collection offering affordable trendy/fast fashion pieces for extended sizes. They sent me a few pieces to try out so here I am rocking a few of their items:
Nothing makes you feel girlier than the perfect tutu skirt! Until now, I haven’t been able to find a cute and affordable one that fits me right. This Black Tulle Ballerina Skirt ($23.99) from Rue21 has an elastic waste band and puts such a girly spin on my look.
I’m usually not a big fan of the fur vest but this Leopard Faux Fur Vest ($32.99) one came in leopard print and was way too cute for me to pass up. So I layered it on top of my tulle skirt for texture on texture.
