Mara Hoffman Spring 2015 oozed effortless laid back “cali girl style”. However, the backstage scene was pure craziness is a good #NYFW type of way of course. To compliment this easy breezy collection CATWALK by TIGI Global Creative Director Nick Irwin used the Session Series Work It Hairspray and Transforming Dry Shampoo to create a “Lived-in, destroyed desert braid”. Although, fishtail braids are hot this season…. this is not your average braid!

Keep reading to learn how to create this look.
- Mist clean, dry hair with CATWALK® by TIGI® Transforming Dry Shampoo to create matte texture
- Separate hair into three sections and gather back section into a low, loose ponytail. Secure with an elastic
- Braid the back section using a 3-strand technique and secure ends with an elastic. Gently knead the braid to loosen, allowing front pieces to fall to frame the face, creating a faux-bob look
- Wrap each side section around the center braid and secure with an elastic
- Gently loosen the finished braid and finish with CATWALK® by TIGI® Session Series Work It Hairspray
“Hair this season is all about fishtails and messy braids . Carefree, with a little structure in the front. “

The makeup complimented the look beautifully. The overall look was simple with a sun-kissed bronzed glow.
Almost every show I’ve covered has incorporated some type of braided hair style into their spring collection. Are you looking forward to the popular fish tail braid trend next spring?
